Ominous Balloons

Open the door, see he brought smiles and flowers
Home from the war, life is good, life is good
Give him that look, hold him a while
It's all back in place, like before, like before, like before

Lay down in bed, give what you can
Make all the noise, show him he's loved, show him love
Peel back the act, wash off your mask
You still have your dreams, what you were, who you were

Catch the birthday balloons floating high
Ominous balloons touch the sky
Don't look away you'll miss their parade
Over the moon

Twenty years now the kids grow away
With their fancy jobs and fancy cars, life is good, life is good
Christmas they visit presents and all
See their faces all grown, life runs fast from the past

Catch the birthday balloons floating high
Ominous balloons touch the sky
Don't look away you'll miss their parade
Over the moon

"I was married at the age of nineteen,
Felt my whole life get on the tracks
Sure I guess Life ain't what I dreamed.
But it's too late, there ain't no going back-

Sixty years done, he's gone and I'm here, with his name"

Don't look away you'll miss yesterday,
Under the moon

No Shit, This Is It, Carnival

Buckle up your seat belt get ready for the ride
Sunny skies ahead without a rain drop in sight
This roller coasters running can't see the final drop
Don't close your eyes you'll miss the ride get ready, it's starting up

Georgie doesn't want to ride he says, "Mama let me off"
She says, "Sorry babe it's too late now, you're on and buckled up."
Now the car is getting faster and there's no slowing down
She look's at George, the ride she put him on and wants to turn around

But Georgie disappears, she faces the first drop
And realizes she left him at the candy gift shop

Welcome to the "No Shit, This Is It, Carnival"
Where everyone else, is through, is through, is you, is you
Welcome to the "No Shit, This Is It, Carnival"
What you gonna do?

We have bearded ladies shaving, nasty mancat bathing
A lizard who talks a fish who walks and a mom on a runaway train
Mirrors that give direction, children of religious obsession
An angry God, a friendly mob, a mom who's jumping off

As she feels herself falling her arms turn into wings
Georgie sees a familiar bird he's only met in dreams
He throws his hands up high, reaches towards the sky
She swoops him up and puts him on a golden carousel with toys, with joys, with money

Welcome to the "No Shit, This Is It, Carnival"
Where everyone else is Through, is Through, is YOU, is YOU
Welcome to the "No Shit, This Is It, Carnival"
What you gonna do?

Mind your manners boy as you enter this funhouse
People are trying to dream
Be careful once you're in you might never make it out
People are not what they seem

"Mama fly, fly me away, I'm scared mama, I don't want to stay"
Too late

Welcome to the "No Shit, This Is It, Carnival"
Where everyone else, is you, is you, is you, is you!
Welcome to the "No Shit, This Is It, Carnival"
What you gonna do?

Enough No More

Enough No More, Stand your ground

Stop this war, Because we can't turn around

The people are screaming, with words that are bleeding, for change to come soon

To eyes that are closed, with no where to go, they lose sight of time, and how it moves

Raise your voice, loud enough to be heard

Make a choice, or we all will be burned

For one man that dies, there are ten more that fly, and live off his wings

With no looking back, the ignorance stacks until it reaches them...it brings us down

We give it time, we wait we start to fall

We leave our lives to fait, we lose it all

So what does it take, how many must break?

A young man dies, by his fellow soldier's hands

His mom identifies him, by a tattoo on his arm

He was cut in pieces, by brothers he trusted, don't turn your head away!

Accept this is happening here everyday what does it take for us to say?

ENOUGH NO MORE!!!

Blue

Blue, a memory like a book you want to reread but can’t bring yourself to, so young, so naïve, so vulnerable, so much time to grow….go back?  Every moment we go back it takes days to move forward…every breath released on a memory is a breath wasted…but I loved you, whatever love meant to me then I know that I loved you…and not…and now I may not believe in love…you pushed me! FUCK YOU! You make me hide from it all.   There was music to what we had, and the only way for me to go back there is to hear it whether it’s me playing or me listening.  The sand was so smooth or rugged I don’t remember because I didn’t care I was with you and you were laying next to me and the ocean was crashing by itself behind us. A star passes around the sky and we are safe on the ground with no thought or care about what was going to happen, and did you know what was going to happen, I didn’t I wish I did, I wish I could’ve planned for it and saved myself but you fucking took that away and thank you for that because I needed it gone maybe I still do but I didn’t expect to want so much of it back so much of you back save me save me save me….again same scene two years later you approach and I have nothing to say my last opportunity only I didn’t know it and I had nothing to say.  I dreamed this life when I was with you but now that I’m in this life I dream you.

Fuck you.

I love you.

I loved you.

I fucked you.

I almost fucked you.

I never had you.

And people know that part of you when I don’t.

So now what?

Why Night Sun

Why
What makes the sky change to that color where everything seems perfect, before turning to night...
Night.
Where the stars seem to tell us we are insignificant, not our thoughts, not our love, not our connections, but we as a unit are insignificant.  We must then seek to the deeper connections, the personal, to rise above...
Sunrise.
Night ending to bring a new day, a new chance to make our lives a better tomorrow, a better yesterday, a better now.  We must ride it while we can, and never stop.  We cannot pretend the sun won't set.  The sun will set.  And one day we will see our final sun set, we will see our final sun rise, we will see our final night...
Endless.
Where does it all go when our bodies expire?  The touch, the orgasm, the glance from a person we wanted so badly.  A person we could not live without.  But we do.  We live without, because we can, and we must.  Sometimes there is no other way.
What if...?
too      late
Memories.
Claire De Lune, transport us, rush into us, leave us, like a haunting melody progressing from A minor to something yet discovered.  We are songwriters who cannot complete the chord progressions, but merely facilitate them as they come without ending, without resolve, only hoping that sometimes we may recognize some distant repetition.

And hope,
Hope...
Someone may hear, and do the same.
